Somehow, it should keep tracks of what he seen, in case of problem.

Proposal:

it stores somewhere (remains to be determined) a list of daemon that failed. If any, the next time it runs it will not check for this one, assuming it is dead.
it can easily done by creating a perl file with
$list{"deaddemon"} = 0;
that would be loaded after the conffile.

Such file should not last more than 24 hours.

That just an idea, it may not be very feasible (what if one more dead daemon is found), there are maybe better way to handle it, maybe a perl module, who knows.
