From Novell bug:
This is fixed by r123987 on HEAD, but the fix is not (yet) backported to the
2.2 branch. It looks like that change is needed for non-AOT code as well.

In the meantime, setting the env var MONO_GENERIC_SHARING=corlib will work
this bug.

I don't seem to be able to close this bug, but since this has been confirmed as being a regression in the mono runtime, it probably should be.

When run with mono-2.2, bless halts on an exception when pressing any key in the main window.
